JOB SUMMARY: The intern will support the build of REST APIs that are at the core of the ecosystem to support the resort and Digital needs for Universal Destinations & Experiences. The services are hosted in Azure data centers in Japan and North America and also on-premises at our data center in Orlando. They will also gain knowledge into GenAI as it is being integrated and leveraged for components of code.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learns and performs tsks for the value stream assigned.
- Supports jira story assignments, reaching out to the advocate for information about contacts to answer questions.
- Participates in production release activities.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar.
- Familiarity with Programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, and Express.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server and non-relational databases such as MongoDB or Couch DB.
- Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or additional technologies.
- Experience utilizing algorithms to write logic for services endpoints.
- Experience with version control.
Please note the following:
- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
