JOB SUMMARY:
The intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and gain hands-on exposure to project management processes in a dynamic, real-world environment. This internship offers a unique blend of learning experiences across business process improvement, training coordination, and project systems enhancement. Interns may assist with gathering requirements for system updates, developing training materials for tools like PMWeb, and contributing to internal process documentation and automation.
Throughout the internship, the intern will gain experience working with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Automate, SharePoint, and potentially e-learning platforms like Articulate 360. They will also have the chance to collaborate cross-functionally with teams across UC, gaining insight into the broader lifecycle of capital projects. This internship is ideal for students interested in project management or business operations and offers valuable professional development and networking opportunities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in gathering requirements and providing user feedback to support enhancements in project management systems
- Assists in analyzing and improving existing and/or new business processes, including but not limited to, streamlining workflows, automating processes, refining training programs, and more.
- Help coordinate and support internal trainings, including logistics, scheduling, and preparation of materials
- Create visual aids, job aids, or step-by-step guides to support process understanding and system use
- Assist in developing, organizing, and updating training materials and resources related to project management tools and systems (e.g., PMWeb)
- Support the documentation and enhancement of business processes by collecting input from stakeholders and identifying areas for improvement
- Performs ad hoc tasks as needed to support the process and training development teams.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, (Instructional Design is a plus)
- Preferred coursework completed: Project Management, Organizational Behavior and Change Management, Operations Management, Human Resources, Business Process Analysis, Management Information Systems
- Familiarity with Business Systems: Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate), reporting tools (e.g., Power BI), and/or process mapping (e.g., Visio) is preferred.
- Process Improvement Background: Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in process/workflow improvement, training development, or project management is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for documenting business requirements and presenting findings.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and enhance business processes, workflows, and system functionality.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in capturing requirements and refining processes.
- Adaptability: Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and methodologies.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Displays creativity in designing innovative process and improvements.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
