JOB SUMMARY:
Gain hands-on experience with design professionals in Interior and Facility Design during the concept phase. Collaborate on large-scale theme park projects, engaging with internal design teams to understand multiple disciplines within the organization. Participate in weekly project team meetings to gain comprehensive knowledge of concept design stages. Interact with vendors to understand materials and products relevant to our projects and the industry.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the Interior Design team with various design-related tasks.
- Utilizes computer skills to develop space planning drawings for F&B and Retail facilities, including rendered elevations, floor plans, and 3D models.
- Selects preliminary product sources to align with the creative vision.
- Collaborates with internal design teams to assist with daily project tasks.
- Schedules and attends team meetings, recording minutes and following up as necessary.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or similar.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Working knowledge of CAD and Revit.
- Experience utilizing Sketch-up and/or Rhino, or similar 3D programs are preferred.

- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
