JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and implementing Universal Orlando’s community engagement strategies aligned with the organization’s overall goals and mission. Manages the philanthropic focus of Universal Orlando and the UO Foundation. Serves as UO representative in the Central Florida community.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In partnership with UDX Community Relations, direct the philanthropic strategy for Universal Orlando and the Universal Orlando Foundation; oversee Community Relations programs including Charitable Giving, Workplace Giving, Volunteer Program, Compassion, Special Events and Initiatives; manage annual budget. In partnership with Corporate Communications, develop and implement communication strategies to enhance brand reputation.
- Relationship Management: Position Universal Orlando as a leader in the Central Florida community. Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders and leaders; represent Universal Orlando at community and non-profit functions and events.
- Serve as Executive Director of the Universal Orlando Foundation. Oversee Foundation grant-making process, fundraising activities, grant reporting, administrative processes, IRS compliance and marketing needs.
- Program Management: Design & direct community engagement/signature programs; establish annual impact goals and measurement plan; evaluate effectiveness.
- Leadership/Team Management: Lead, develop and inspire CR team; foster collaborative work environment.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, Business, Marketing preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 12+ Years: Experience in community relations, philanthropy, fundraising, and community-based groups preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
