JOB SUMMARY:
Aids in the execution, implementation, and sustainment of Universal Orlando culinary training initiatives. Provides culinary client support, coordinates and conducts training for hourly and non-exempt Team Members– to include safety related training programs, new menu roll outs, and seasonal events and initiatives. Responsible for facilitating related curriculum, operational evaluations and providing respective success measurements related to site culinary programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements, facilitates, and maintains structured Culinary training and initiatives in support of the divisional training objectives and standard operating procedures. Ensure Team Members can demonstrate the necessary culinary and safety skills in a safe, effective, and timely manner on an ongoing basis through appropriate audit processes.
- Assist with the execution and sustainment of training strategies and programs for new menu roll outs, Seasonal Marquee Events, and new restaurant openings. Key partnership with Talent Development to ensure there is consistency and alignment between BOH and FOH training strategies, materials, and support.
- Provides client support. Participates in the review of statistics pertinent to their operating areas, supports service gap analyses of this data and assist with the design and execution of programs targeting identified gaps
- Provides continual support of in-park coaching and providing feedback based upon service observations.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Associate degree (AA) in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ year of experience in the culinary field, with demonstrated knowledge of food safety and sanitation and training.
- Demonstrate training proficiency in teaching basic culinary skill and knowledge and competency in focus safety programs: Heavy Machinery (Balers, industrial mixers, slicers, etc.).
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Food Safety certification, Certified Professional Food Manager, and AllerTrain preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Publisher).
