JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting with and completing required Emergency Management and Security Operations training drills, fire and evacuation drills, and other training geared towards educating team members on Security and Emergency Management topics. Maintain documentation and statistics of all training and drill activities. Coordinate, maintain, and support all Business Continuity related activities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers and documents training rosters as it relates to Emergency Management. Track and maintain dashboard and all statistical data as it pertains to Emergency Management. Assists Departmental Management with Business Continuity Plans, audits, training and building exercises around business continuity.
- Conducts drills, weekly /monthly fire drills/ Security drills, partner with EHS and Security Supervisors where applicable, Create monthly security spot talks, track and maintain all drills for monthly statistical recaps. Coordinate with Emergency Management Coordinators on departmental training and exercises.
- Maintains Hurricane ride out team supply list and ride out team rosters, conduct annual ride out team hurricane drill. Assist with
- Hurricane pre-planning, preparations and response to hurricanes. Coordinates with Emergency Management Coordinators on hurricane planning and training.
- Maintains departmental records and conducts audits of departmental standard operating procedures (SOP). May make recommendations of changes to SOP as it relates to Safety and Emergency Management. Schedules, coordinates, and leads Emergency Management and safety meetings/training sessions.
- Community Emergency Response Team trained and Emergency Management task force maintained, National Incident Management System training and structure to all Security Supervisors, maintain Emergency Operation Center positions and become an active member of Central Florida Intelligence Exchange and partner with them on suspicious activity reports.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Assists the Emergency Management and Security Operations departments by conducting drills, hold training sessions, and perform other logistical activities related to Emergency Management.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years of experience in Security or Emergency Management required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
