JOB SUMMARY: Assists in the generation of project budget estimates, updates to estimates during the design phases, negotiation of changes to the work during the construction/installation phase and compiles post-mortem cost summaries of the project. This work is performed with significant oversight from project controls / estimating leadership.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the development of estimates, negotiation, and settlement of costs for all changes to the work (including specialty ride & show scopes) throughout the project.
- Utilizing project costs, develops project metrics, reports and summaries to be presented and utilized by leadership.
- Assists estimating team during the buyout process including but not limited to the development of RFP’s, scoping of bids, negotiation of final cost for all project scopes.
- Assists in the production overall project cost summaries and presentations. As well as present them to all levels of company leadership.
- Works with project team to identify and report project cost trends and risks.
- Assists in the creation of “value engineering” components with the project team to mitigate cost overruns.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Associate’s degree or technical school required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or quantity surveying preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years on-site construction and estimating experience on themed entertainment projects, knowledge of show and ride estimating and facility impacts required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
