JOB SUMMARY:
The Analyst, Application Security Management is responsible for supporting the secure management and governance of enterprise applications for Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX). This position has a core focus on access controls, authentication frameworks, data integrity, and resiliency. This role helps ensure that critical applications operate securely, in compliance with appropriate regulatory standards (PCI, GDPR, etc.) & NBCU Cybersecurity policies. The Analyst will establish and enforce best practices and standard operating procedures to minimize risk across the application portfolio.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate & execute periodic access reviews for enterprise applications to enforce role-based access controls (RBAC), least-privilege principles, and policy-driven access entitlements
- Enforce authentication governance standards across enterprise applications by supporting secure integration with SSO/MFA services, monitoring authentication compliance, and assisting with exception handling.
- Support data governance efforts by validating accurate application CI records, contributing to data classification initiatives, and promoting secure data handling practices.
- Strengthen business resiliency by coordinating recovery time objectives (RTOs) and leading the development and validation of technical continuity plans.
- Drive audit readiness, strengthen governance frameworks, and produce actionable reports that highlight application security risks and compliance gaps.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in access management, application security, or IT governance.
- Familiarity with IAM platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD) and authentication technologies (e.g., SAML, OIDC, MFA).
- Experience with CMDB platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and enterprise application ownership models.
- Understanding of data governance principles, including classification, retention, and protection.
- IT Business Continuity planning experience preferred.
