JOB SUMMARY

Oversees all Finance aspects at Universal Kids Resort (UKR), including the park and hotel, with oversight of Digital & Technology efforts. Drives business results by evaluating new business model developments and trends, providing accounting guidance and ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Manages leadership responsible for driving key financial impacts and revenue management with 365-day operating hotel with non-365 day park for labor optimization and overall optimal financial results. Partners across UKR departments to ensure labor optimization and overall optimal financial results for a seasonal/regional park model. Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Finance team and provide direction in career development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages all aspects of financial labor, reporting, and controls at UKR. Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting for both park and hotel operations.
• Maintains long-term planning model and develops annual operating plans. Maintains internal controls per UDX policies and procedures to ensure alignment across UDX financial parameters.
• Develops financial analysis models and provides recommendations designed to protect assets, meet reporting requirements, and effectively plan for financial needs of the organization. Ensures service level agreements are met and UKR partners are provided with accurate and informed financial data/metrics to drive business decisions.
• Directs budgeting process and daily management of budgets, analyzing fluctuations in business units and instituting changes/enhancements as necessary. Partners across UKR and UDX to create synergies for company goals and compliance with local regulations. Provides leadership and strategic oversight for initiative management, ensuring on-time/on-budget development and implementation.
• Responsible for the overall Finance (GSAT) initiatives and Team Member experience, communication of goals and expectations, and ensuring safety standards and local regulations are maintained. Interacts with Team Members, guests and key partners and generates efficiency objectives and plans. Manages, trains, and develops a strong Finance team to maximize a seasonal and regional business model. Facilitates collaboration, communication, and cohesiveness across the team.
• Performs other ad-hoc requests and reports including but not limited to project financial analysis, seasonal park model pricing and analysis, identification and participation in strategic owned and operated hotel and resort UKR initiatives. Responsible for adherence and interaction with applicable regulatory agencies and requirements.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

• Certified Public Accountant is preferred.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. MBA is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of finance or accounting experience with 3+ years of leadership experience is required, experience within a theme park or immersive experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
