JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Media Producer assists in the overall development and implementation of all Creative Studio Media projects. In addition, the Senior Media Producer works directly with the Executive Media Producer to establish project strategy, create budget and funding resources, analyze and identify talent needs, establish project schedules and communicate all appropriate information to the various business units or divisions. Responsible for final creative development (in-house) of media production on assigned projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the Director, Creative, in managing the Creative Studio Media department - including generating and monitoring annual operating budgets, policies and procedures with regards to process, show quality review, etc. Tracks and reports media production costs on assigned projects.
- Supervises the identification and management of third-party vendors in all phases of media production on assigned projects. Reviews and approves all Media Studio vendor contracts, commitments and invoices on assigned projects.
- Represents Universal Creative and acts as the responsible production interface with IP partners and creative talent (WB, Paramount, Fox, Bay Films, DreamWorks, Sony, etc.) as well as with industry-leading VFX and animation vendors (ILM, Framestore, Double Negative, MPC, Weta,, etc.) in developing and producing attraction media during pre-production and development of test footage, where applicable.
- Supervises the management of media pipeline, schedules and creates reviews, as well as in-progress reports between vendors and Universal Creative, on assigned projects. Supervises supporting media vendors in the production of all media elements including but not limited to film, video, casting, music composition and recording, voice over production, special effects and motion effects development and production, on assigned projects.
- Responsible for all phases of media editorial and post-production to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of the highest quality media content for on-site show integration and programming, on assigned projects. Supervises on-going media changes based upon on-site programming.
- Contributes long-range planning and strategy to ensure on-going success of existing and future attraction media.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel is required depending upon Project needs. Role requires a high degree of collaboration and teamwork with Internal and External Partners. Requires highly effective communication skills. EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree is required. TV/Film Production, or similar Communication or Arts Management is strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
8-10 Years: Experience as a senior level producer or creative lead with demonstrated success in theme park, theatrical, media production required. 7-10 Years: Experience as a senior level producer or creative lead with demonstrated success in theme park, theatrical, media production preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
