JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the development and production of all project-related media content. Works directly with Show producer to develop the scope, schedule, and budget of any film, video or audio portions of the show and to identify and contract related vendors. Manages all production personnel and serves as the primary interface with third-party vendors during the pre-production, production, post-production, programming and integration of media, including writers, artists, animators, and media-associated creative talent.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies, contracts and manages third-party vendors in all phases of media production, serving as the responsible interface between Universal Creative and vendors during pre-production and development of test footage, where applicable. Tracks and reports all media production costs.
- Manages media pipeline, schedules and creates reviews, as well as in-progress reports between vendors and Universal Creative. Supervises supporting media vendors in the production of all media elements including but not limited to film, video, casting, music composition and recording, voice over production, special effects and motion effects development and production, where applicable.
- Manages all phases of media editorial and post-production to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of the highest quality media content for on-site show integration and programming. Supervises on-going media changes based upon on-site programming requirements and reviews.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly manages contracted vendors in production of media content including writers, artists, directors, and post=production personnel, as well as programmers where responsibilities are specifically related to the show integration of all media content.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong design and production portfolio. Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, scope preparation and variety of vendors. Knowledge of theme park technologies including ride, A/V, robotics, engineering and various show systems. Working knowledge of Movie Magic software, as well as audio, film and video editing software, systems, and techniques.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Film and Video Production is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
10 years experience in media development, design and production of multiple media formats including but not limited to all standard film and video formats, in addition to large-screen projection, multiple projection, High-Definition, 3-D; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
