JOB SUMMARY:
As a Merchandise Assistant, you will support the Merchandise Product Development team in the day-to-day operations of a specific segment within the merchandise development process. Your responsibilities will include completing designated tasks to achieve the team's goals efficiently and effectively.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Management- Assists Buyers in populating and maintaining the data in tracking systems necessary in the development and procurement of products; initiative sheets, buy plans, assortment sheets, Brand Decks.
- Research- Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information to support decision making and problem solving and recommends information required for project and product development from internal and external business partners; contacting vendors for product information.
- Project Management- Encompasses planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. MMB submissions are a crucial skill, this included adeptly navigating the system and adhering to established processes.
- Administrative: Populating and tracking interdepartmental requests forms, vendor information, etc.
- Organization: Refers to the ability to systematically arrange tasks, resources, and time to achieve efficiency and productivity.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Associates degree from a two-year college in Merchandising or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years retail experience within a high-profile retail organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks. Ensures that all responsibilities are completed efficiently and within set deadlines by organizing tasks based on their urgency and importance. Balances multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in office, retail, and remote/online environments, demonstrating adaptability across dynamic work settings.
- May require interaction with global partners outside normal business hours.
