JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises all technical aspects of assigned entertainment areas, projects, or events, ensuring show quality and a positive guest experience. Collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure the project scopes & show intent are met, while supporting the hourly team members with proper communication, scheduling of tasks.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the technical planning, execution, and quality assurance of all technical operations of the assigned entertainment venues.
  • Supervise and evaluate all technicians in the designated discipline. This includes training new employees, assessing their performance, addressing employee relations issues, and scheduling hourly technical staff.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and communicate important information related to entertainment operations with other UO divisions, upper management, and team members within the Entertainment department.
  • Monitor and enforce all policies and procedures set forth by the Entertainment Department to ensure the safe operation of technical equipment. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for their specific discipline.
  • Ensure that all Technical Entertainment employees in the assigned area complete mandatory training classes and encourage them to pursue educational opportunities that will enhance their job performance.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION: 

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • One to three years within a supervisory/lead position preferred. 
  • Three to five years of experience within the professional entertainment or theme park industry preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
