JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of ride vehicles.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform disassembly and required repairs and replacements for mechanical components during annual inspections on ride vehicles using good engineering practices.
  • Verify all quality control/NDT requirements have been met prior to vehicle assembly.
  • Identify mechanical system deficiencies and recommend immediate and long term corrective action to decrease maintenance costs and decrease downtimes of ride vehicles. This process may require troubleshooting and referring to technical manuals, technical library and the CMMS system while utilizing a systematic approach.
  • Perform modifications to ride vehicles as directed by Universal Engineering Department.
  • Completes PQS qualification of assigned annuals. Trains new technicians to do venue-specific PM work orders, recovery procedures, and processes.
  • Enters follow-up work orders for all discrepancies found. Documents all findings and work performed throughout the process of troubleshooting and performing repairs. Reports labor in Maximo for all work performed.
  • Provide input and entry into CMMS system and log completion of inspections.
  • Interact with other departments to ensure all needed repairs or painting is completed on time.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

Responsible for the annual inspection and repairs of all ride vehicles resort wide.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED is Required
  • Technical school is Preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems as well as hydraulic and mechanical systems either in the theme park industry or other industrial industries.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
