JOB SUMMARY:

Provides the skilled, discipline specific technical skills needed for the successful operation and maintenance of video elements for assigned Entertainment venues, projects, or events, to ensure highest levels of show quality and a positive guest experience. Occasionally working independently and reporting to a Lead Tech or above.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting with the operation of the show/event video equipment within the assigned venue or special event. This includes but is not limited to the operation of equipment/elements in a live show situation.
  • Takes direction from Lead Tech to complete team objectives as assigned, such as assembly/testing/prepping of video equipment. Uses basic troubleshooting knowledge as needed for completion of team objectives in assembly of gear and checking equipment.
  • Assists with the appropriate installation, setup/storage, strike, and maintenance of equipment. 
  • Communicates internally regarding technical problems, issues, and/or concerns.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

  • Technical school, Associate’s degree (AA), or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 

Required:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience within the assigned technical discipline.
  • Fundamental knowledge of live show camera operation, signal flow, installing and operating projectors, LED walls, and video systems, and computer skills including Microsoft office.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of installing and operating projectors, LED walls, and video systems.
