JOB SUMMARY:

Supervise all facets of the Equipment Techs Department. Oversees and schedules the installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs of all equipment to include but not limited to, Industrial, commercial & noncommercial Bakery, Production Kitchen, Refrigeration and Laundry related assets.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for coaching, professional development, performance reviews, quarterly 1 on 1’s of all equipment technicians and holds technicians accountable to perform proper service repairs and preventive maintenance of all equipment and cleanliness of all work areas. Ensures accurate documentation of all work orders, parts request, and Maximo entries to include labors hours and log notes. Identifies individual technician capabilities and implements plans to increase any deficiencies.
• Supervises routine service, repairs, preventative maintenance, Installations of all Equipment Technicians assets. Ensures all repairs, maintenance & installations are performed safely and properly per OSHA and Universal Standards and operating per manufactures recommendations.
• Provide initial and ongoing training of all Equipment Technicians as in pertains to all assets and personal development. Stays current with new technology related to all commercial & noncommercial, refrigeration, Industrial and Laundry equipment assets, that will assist Equipment Technicians improving their daily performance and increasing productivity.
• Performs general administrative tasks, scheduling, labor allocation and team member evaluations. Participate in the reconciliation and review of the monthly P&L statement to ensure all labor and non-labor targets are met.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• High school degree or GED Education:
• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

• 5-7 years combination of installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial, commercial and noncommercial restaurant and laundry equipment, with Refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, propane and natural gas, HVAC experience
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and inspect work performed by technicians.
• or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• HVAC License B and Universal Refrigerant Handling EPA Certification (Required).
• HVAC License A (Preferred). Contractor license as one or more of the following: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing (Preferred).
• Government or military Utility trade designation or certification.
