JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the creation, maintaining and application of advanced Prosthetic makeup. Responsibilities include but not limited too the knowledge of all materials and tools, Medium and extremely large multi-pieces pieces such as who’s, Grinch, Jack, cowl and face prosthetics, applying prosthetic mustache and prosthetic hair pieces. Understanding color theory and fitting of teeth. Knowledge and expertise of all skills in Artist, Prosthetic Operation Application II.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Application, piece prep, removals and care of all high level forms of theatrical make-up and prosthetics.
• Troubleshoots and address issues such as Make-Up Application, inspection of prosthetics regular maintenance, touchups, and removals to ensure show quality and approved designed looks.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and cleanliness of workstation and area. 
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required.
• Graduate of certified makeup school is preferred. 

EXPERIENCE: 

• 3+ professional experience in Prosthetics fabrication including Lab/Studio work and field application; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Air brush usage and techniques, working with other materials needed to enhance theatrical design and create advanced cosmetic effects as well as pieces that management deem appropriate to the skill level.
• Prosthetic II level skills and any props or costume fabrication experience helpful.
