Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program:

JOB SUMMARY:

This internship will include multiple learning and growth opportunities. The intern will work alongside internal partners to ensure accuracy of Universal Orlando Accounting & Financial Reporting. Support management in developing financial analysis, reporting, and technical accounting research. Other learning opportunities include analyzing leases and general ledger accounts, assisting with financial statement compilation, assisting in the preparation of quarterly financial review presentations, preparing G/L reconciliations, posting journal entries, and coordinating month-end close tasks. In addition, this intern will refine communication and presentation skills. Prepare responses to internal & external audit inquiries (as needed).


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares close calendars for communication to business units.
  • Troubleshoots accounting variance errors & discrepancies.
  • Uses departmental expertise to response to inquiries from internal & external clients.
  • Assists with management requests as needed.
  • Assists in coordination or interim & period-end close tasks and reporting.
  • Prepares journal entries.
  • Prepares G/L reconciliations.
  • Researches technical accounting topics as the need arises.
  • Learns various incidental tasks that will help develop moderate spreadsheet and analytical expertise.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. 
  • A transcript is required upon application.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Preferred majors include: Accounting, or similar.
  • Knowledge in financial analysis.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2026.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
