JOB SUMMARY:
Maintain accuracy and assist in the analysis of financial results for various marketing and sales budget areas, while supporting Marketing and Sales operators and assisting with vendor payment issues and reconciliations.
Position- Specific Duties (UDX Finance - Marketing and Sales)
This role works on the Corporate Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) Finance Team, supporting business teams in Marketing and Sales (i.e. back of house business operations; non-revenue generating teams). Prior experience working in Theme Park, Entertainment, Hospitality or related industry a plus. Experience working within large scaled, multi-tiered Corporate setting, supporting Marketing and Sales business partners, a plus.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accuracy of Marketing and Sales financial results for assigned budget areas - process adjustments, perform month end close duties, collaborate with Marketing and Sales operators to determine accurate forecast of cost, and perform variance analysis for assigned budget areas comparing actuals to budget, latest estimates and prior periods.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Marketing and Sales operators and third-party vendors by meeting to discuss assigned budget and areas and support with coding requests (i.e. charge codes, GL, etc.).
- Research vendor payment issues and make recommendations for resolution, obtain third-party vendor data to reconcile and allocate invoiced charges.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain revenue recognition calculation for UDX sponsorship agreements, process monthly recognition adjustment and reconcile associated deferred revenue account balance.
- Conclude on findings and make insightful recommendations to management. Assist with applicable ad-hoc projects and requests.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Associate degree (AA) is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years or equivalent combination of education and finance experience.
