JOB SUMMARY:
Run the day to day operation of all of our buildings and assets at Universal Orlando. This is to include City Walk owned venues and resort walkways and waterways, back of house support buildings, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, Parking Structures and any new facilities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the day to day operations of all facilities, equipment and personnel at Universal Orlando. (ongoing) Ensure safety of all guests and employee’s. Chair safety compliance and meeting with safety representatives. Liaison for UO with the State of Florida as well as all regulatory components
- Financial responsibility as it pertains to daily monitoring of all routine budgets within the job scope. In addition, create and prioritize a yearly Capital and Expense budget and be able to present to Executives
- New attraction criteria and review to make sure new attractions are delivered correctly and completely. Review all scope of work as well as design of all new attractions for reliability and safety. (weekly)
- Growth and development of team (weekly). Ensure all of the team is properly trained for work activities and managing team members
- GSAT initiatives for downtime time reduction and superior operational readiness of attractions. Set direction for engineering team so they are working on most important issues first. This is done daily
- TSAT and employee safety and training as well as EHS responsibility. (many times a day) UO TSAT team champion for the department.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business management or construction is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years’ experience required in facility maintenance field with specific training and experience with facility maintenance and inspection
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
State General or Certified or Registered Contractor preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- PLANNING HORIZON: Longer Term (1 Year).
- PLANNING KNOWLEDGE: In-depth division operating plan; understanding overall Company goals.
- RESPONSIBILITY: Management of standard policies and procedures within a major function and may coordinate work processes across divisions.
- ACCOUNTABILITY: Divisional key performance indicators (Annual Operating Plan, GSAT, TSAT)
