JOB SUMMARY:
This internship will include multiple learning and growth opportunities. The intern will work alongside internal partners to ensure accuracy of Universal Destinations & Experiences Financial Accounting & Reporting. Support management in developing financial analysis, reporting, and technical accounting research. Other learning opportunities include analyzing property plant & equipment and other ledger accounts, assisting with hotel accounting journal entries, assisting in the preparation of the hotel G/L reconciliations, and coordinating month-end close tasks. Prepare responses to internal & external audit inquiries (as needed).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare close calendars for communication to business units.
- Troubleshoot accounting variance errors & discrepancies.
- Use departmental expertise to respond to inquiries from internal & external clients.
- Assist with management requests as needed.
- Assist in the coordination of interim & period-end close tasks & reporting.
- Prepare hotel accounting journal entries.
- Prepare hotel G/L reconciliations.
- Research technical accounting topics as the need arises.
- Learn various incidental tasks that will help develop spreadsheet and analytical expertise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.
- Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, accounting knowledge, research, financial analysis, communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving ability and multi-tasking.

- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
