JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager will play a critical role in supervising and empowering a diverse team to drive holistic Transformation & Change Management across all D&T teams at Universal Destinations and Experiences. The Senior Manager will apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities for digital products and technologies aligned with Value Streams. This role requires effective understanding of overall planning and timelines for all aspects of the product development cycle to ensure alignment with internal and external business needs. The Senior Manager will serve as an effective escalation point, possessing a strong understanding of the details necessary to make impactful decisions. They will lead vision definition, strategic intent, hypothesis generation, integration, and change management efforts across the TCM team. Additionally, the Senior Manager will manage relationships and collaborate with internal and external partner teams including PMO, Product, vendors, and the business to ensure initiatives are being delivered effectively and efficiently.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Core OCM:
- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities for Value Stream digital products and technologies and continually challenge ways of working, process improve and look for opportunities to evolve approach as applicable. Prepare executive summaries on change management progress and outcomes for senior leadership review.
- Team Member Development: Develop TMs to be change leaders experienced in TCM approach; create consistent usage of approach to develop scale
- Ensure TCM Team Members are change leaders and following best practice approach, continually evolving as needed.
- Create standard expectations for behaviors and outputs of TCM Team Members, ensuring clarity in expectations and performance metrics.
- Hold team members accountable through regular meetings, written reviews, and check-in sessions, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Implement mentorship programs to foster professional growth and development of change management competencies.
- Encourage a culture of accountability by recognizing and rewarding team members who exemplify change management best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Lead functional business stakeholder engagement with relevant business units; Manage relationships and collaborate with internal and external partner teams including PMO, Product, and the business to ensure initiatives are being delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance stakeholder engagement and understanding of change initiatives.
- Monitor adoption through a comprehensive measurement strategy, utilizing feedback loops to continuously improve change processes.
- Ensure transparency with businesses (e.g., Sales & Marketing, Finance, etc.) through predictable, insightful exchanges
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree is required (Business/Marketing would be an asset)
- Master’s degree is preferred. Change Management certification is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years in progressive transformation, technology enablement, innovation or marketing leadership.
- Expert knowledge of large scale transformation initiatives
- Experience integrating marketing and experience technologies
- Experience in project team leadership and large scale program planning and implementation
- Expert at stakeholder and partner management
- Experience in executive communication relationship building and decision making
- Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills, and be able to explain complex concepts both concisely and simply
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute strategic initiatives
- ;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, with an ability to understand broad concepts, identify connection points and gaps, and establish product strategies that align with the broader vision and support Guest and business strategies
- Demonstrated analytical and technical skill set, with an ability to synthesize and analyze product-related data across an array of sources to evaluate product effectiveness
- Extremely strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to influence senior leadership by developing and clearly framing up options, analysis and recommendations
- Strong organizational skills with an appropriate balance of attention to detail and agility to deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative, cross-functional project teams with a wide range of stakeholders and key partners
