JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for strategic program resource management, release management, and project governance. Provides direction and guidance to managers and oversees the program’s output and product by promoting an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration. Works closely with stakeholders, senior leadership, business partners, and delivery and program leaders to control cost, identify dependencies, resolve cross-program or strategic issues to successfully meet delivery timelines and deliver business value. Introduces industry best practices and incorporates processes and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Portfolio, Project & Program Delivery: Drive a critical portfolio of projects & programs in support of Parks Technology and our guest experience by providing overall leadership to project management structure. Work with Product & Technology teams to develop, track, analyze and publish project and financial reports, scorecards, and program/project performance trends. This role supports the portfolio both internationally & domestically including UO, USH & USJ.
  • Strategic Planning: Key contributor to annual strategic planning process for assessment of critical resources and financial estimation in support of advancing the organization vision & mission.
  • People Leadership: Build & lead a high performing team of project managers, program managers, release train engineers scrum masters and others achieving operational excellence to achieve and exceed goals and objectives
  • PMO Maturity, Process & Tools: Execute up on and contribute to process improvements and best practices across PMO to support delivery excellence. Work broadly with both Business and Technology to ensure that best practice management structure and processes are implemented and managed to drive scope management and on-time/on-budget development and deployment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve robust and sustainable governance model. Provide overall leadership to project management structure, approach and reporting. Work broadly with both Business and Technology to insure alignment across project and program delivery.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Oversee the critical area of risk management, dependency management and mitigation; inclusive of issue identification, risk assessment and mitigation development and recommendations.
  • Agile Transformation: Contribute to our the agile transformation strategy
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field required

EXPERIENCE:

  • 9+ years in PMO, progressive transformation or technology enablement; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • 10 + years in PMO, progressive transformation or technology enablement
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field required
  • Preferred: Project management certification (PMI or similar) and/or certification in use of specific methodologies such as Agile (CSM or similar)
  • Expert understanding and application of Project, Program, and Portfolio Management processes and methodologies, including Agile Management
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence leaders and cross functional peers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, professional writing, presentation, and reporting skills
  • Experience in executive communication, relationship building and decision making
  • Expert level proficiency using computer software and applications, including advance features of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project, and SharePoint to share, retrieve, research, and present business information
  • Demonstrated successful experience:
    • Managing multiple work streams across numerous projects in a complex program environment
    • Building Web and Mobile technologies/services, e-commerce platforms, operational and analytics data platforms and enterprise integration
    • Strong financial acumen
    • Working as a results-oriented change agent
    • Working in a matrixed environment and working with third-party vendors
