JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Cybersecurity Manager plays a critical role in driving the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and strengthening its overall security posture. This role focuses on translating threat intelligence into actionable plans, assessing risks across key business units, and guiding the implementation of effective security controls. The role also requires strong partnership to communicate and collaborate with technical teams, leadership, and audit stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise security objectives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with business leadership and service owners on the execution of the Cyber Security strategy; proactively addressing the needs of the business to consistently meet or exceed established levels of security.
- Understand the business workflows and engage with business leadership and teams to identify risks and business-aware mitigation strategies.
- Partner with security incident response team to resolve and close the investigation of incidents with postmortem and remediation plans
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support consistent and secure operations across the organization.
- Support and develop business-relevant metrics and key performance indicators supporting the measurement of Cyber security program maturity
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
EXPERIENCE:
- 9+ years of experience in cyber engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field
- 9+ years of experience in Cyber Security
- 5+ years managing, coordinating, tracking projects using various Project Management tools
- 2+ years in customer facing technical engagement roles, including service and solution delivery
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- 15+ years of work experience in Information Technology, or 7 years of experience with a Master’s level education in a related field;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
