JOB SUMMARY:
Dynamic and exciting opportunity to provide human resources support for the Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) Talent & Culture organization. The role responsibilities and opportunities include: organizational design and development, change leadership, talent succession planning, team engagement, managing employee relations issues, compensation planning, performance management, staffing, and HR process coordination.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as HR contact and support for the UDX Talent & Culture organization.
- Serve as a thought partner with UDX Talent & Culture senior leadership team and other HR leaders regarding HR talent in areas that include compensation and title equity, talent reviews and succession planning, staffing/recruitment and transformation.
- Leverage opportunities to bring the best ideas forward to support and engage HR talent across NBCU Corporate and UDX.
- Collaborate with business leaders to design and implement employee development, career pathing and engagement programs.
Partner closely with UDX and NBCU functional HR leaders to manage strategic initiatives for the corporate HR function, including employee engagement, retention, compensation/title analyses, employee relations matters, organizational structuring, career development/IDP’s & inclusion programs.
- Support day-to-day HR responsibilities including onboarding, off-boarding, performance management, reporting/analytics.
Provide HR counsel to managers on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices.
- Act as liaison to core staff functions by assisting with rolling out new initiatives and communicating information relating to career development, recognition programs, payroll, benefits, training and staffing.
- Mentor and provide guidance to HR staff related to their career goals. Build bench strength within the function by identifying training and development opportunities for talent throughout NBCUniversal, with an emphasis on talent retention and mobility.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent
- 7+ years of professional HR experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven business acumen, facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills
- Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies
- Exceptional business partnership and influencing skills: able to establish credibility and rapport with operating leaders
- Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups within a matrixed environment.
- Proven employee-relations skill set; can earn trust and credibility with employees
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and counsel both employees and management
- Basic knowledge of Labor Relations
- Previous managerial experience
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and drive change
- Takes ownership; able to establish self as the ‘go-to’ HR resource for client organizations
- Prior media, theme park, and or supporting large frontline (hourly) employee populations experience preferred

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the Orlando, FL office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
