JOB SUMMARY:

• Responsible for production and preparation of banquet food for catered events.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly responsible for UO banquet department food presentation and quality.
• Orders food for all UO catering events.
• Provides recap for total food usage and labor after each catered event and reports to data control.
• Reviews and organizes upcoming banquet order sheets and forcasts food usage per each event.
• Plans and schedules hourly team members for catering events.
• Ensures that all team members follow health and sanitation state guidelines.
• Ensures that predetermined food cost budget is achieved.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5-7 years of experience in food culinary services with 3-5 years of supervisory experience required;
• or equivalent combination of education and experience.
