JOB SUMMARY:

Diagnose and repair all commercial and non-commercial restaurant related and refrigeration equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment, including removal and installation of new and used restaurant equipment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment including, but not limited to coolers, freezers, ice machines, ice cream machines, and keg coolers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair commercial gas and electric kitchen equipment including, but not limited to, fryers, steamers and ovens such as pressure cookers, steam kettles, tilt skillets, commercial dish machines, Combi-ovens, microwaves, stoves and conveyor type ovens, broilers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required, including steamer de-scaling, burner cleaning, and regular monthly maintenance as required per manufacture specifications. Provide proper documents for ordering parts as needed for equipment.
  • Receive training and development of Tech I responsibilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial kitchen and bakery equipment including, but not limited to mixers, direct steam kettles, proofers, sheeters, dough rounders.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • Technical school is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of technical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience of industrial restaurant equipment repairs is preferred including ice machines, bakery equipment, coolers, dish machines, Combi-ovens, stoves and conveyor type ovens and microwaves.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License required to operate company vehicles.
  • (EPA) Universal Refrigerant Certification is required.
  • A certification of training issued by either a State Regulatory agency or technical trade school is preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Assist in repairing and installing restaurant equipment.
