JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for creating and managing visual merchandise presentations to promote Universal Orlando merchandise. Assists the Visual Manager with leadership and development of the Visual Team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the development of visual concepts and designs in the stores to create, coordinate, organize, and maintain appealing visual displays. Conceptualizes and designs floor plans for merchandising and product presentations, floor plan changes, fixture placement, merchandise fixtures and working with operational teams on merchandising techniques in accordance with company directives.
- Conceptualizes and oversees Visual team’s assigned work area projects, floor plan designs for merchandising product and product presentations, future placement and new merchandise fixtures with Area Merchandise Manager and Operational management teams.
- Responsible for the training, management, coordination, and development of the Visual team. Provides feedback, performance evaluations and conducts daily leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Visual Manager.
- Oversees the Visual facilities and equipment including warehouses, workshops and company vehicles. Ensures cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of safe workspaces.
- Supports the Visual Manager in maintaining the departmental financial and budgetary plans in accordance with assigned visual projects while adhering to the company’s purchasing guidelines.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred- Fine Arts or related field of study.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years’ Visual Designer Merchandise experience preferred, including 1+ year retail visual management or sales management experience.
- Preferred experience in an attraction, hotel shop or national retail environment
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
