Manager, Cost

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY:

Perform financial analysis, reporting and budgeting for a specific operational area through a range of applications including journal entries, report writing and review variance commentary and partnership with operators.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all month-end duties including but not limited to journal entries, blackline reqs, data requests and financial reports in compliance with UDX timelines.
  • Complete and/or audit financial reports that summarize divisional financial comparisons in the areas of labor, non-labor, allocations in/out.
  • Evaluate all costs incurred throughout the year, looking for ways to reduce cost and find efficiencies. Assist Leader in the development of annual operating budgets and quarterly estimates (LE’s).
  • Process all invoices, complete necessary journal entries, respond to emails timely and accurately, monitor and track project spend/actuals.
  • Maintain an active relationship with Operating division. Prepare and present monthly variance reports. Analyze performance metrics and identify areas to improve. Recommend solutions to manage within budgets.
  • Prepare and coordinate special project/event budgets. Make recommendations regarding operational decisions related to those projects.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate’s degree (AA) is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years relevant Finance experience required.
  • 1+ year supervisory experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
