JOB SUMMARY:

Perform financial analysis, reporting and budgeting for a specific operational area through a range of applications including journal entries, report writing and review variance commentary and partnership with operators.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all month-end duties including but not limited to journal entries, blackline reconciliations, data requests and financial reports in compliance with UDX timelines.
• Review and analyze net income financial statements, perform a detailed variance analysis against the budget/latest estimate, and provide commentary, including feedback on potential risks and opportunities.
• Evaluate all costs incurred throughout the year, looking for ways to reduce cost and find efficiencies. Assist Leader in the development of annual operating budgets and quarterly estimates (LE’s) including headcount.
• Maintain an active relationship with Operating division. Prepare and present monthly variance reports to executive leadership.
• Analyze performance metrics and identify areas to improve. Recommend solutions to manage within budgets.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Associate’s degree (AA) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years relevant Finance experience required.
