Tech II, Electrician
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing the skilled, discipline specific, tasks required to ensure the smooth operation of Universal Orlando Facilities as it pertains to all industrial, commercial and non-commercial electrical equipment and utilities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain, install, service and repair all electrical systems. Maintain and repair all main switchgear, contactors, motor control centers. Also work on trouble shooting motors, UPS units, batteries and invertors.
- Locate, identify and troubleshoot all electrical branch circuits.
- Work with Electrical Tech I on high voltage switching of equipment and troubleshooting.
- Training and Development on Tech I responsibilities.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
To install, maintain, service, rebuild, troubleshoot, repair and operate all industrial, commercial and non-commercial electrical equipment and utilities as it pertains to the continuous smooth operation of Universal Orlando Facilities. To maintain all facility electrical systems in accordance to all applicable codes, standards and USE specifications, including electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment from 12V to 480V. This will include all main switchgear, main breakers, UPS units, generators, transfer switches, motors and control centers.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required
- Technical school is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial and commercial construction, maintenance facility or a fast paced service company dedicated to electrical repair is required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- A valid Florida Drivers’ License is required to operate company vehicles.
- A Certification of Training issued by either a State Regulatory agency or construction trade school is preferred.
- A Journeyman Electrical License is preferred.
