Associate Supervisor, Merchandise

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing duties relative to the operation of retail locations across the resort while supporting the management team in the supervision of Team Members within these venues. Capable of performing these duties, at times, under limited supervision in non-routine situations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs operational duties to include but not limited to: opening and closing venues, issuing starting banks, providing change, processing shipments, inventory movement, administration of daily break sheets, providing break coverage, completing spot audits, and pulling tills at closing.  Accountable for transactions and balances in automated MIMO machines and/or area safe.
  • Consistently provides, supports, and manages the expectation of quality guest service, including upselling techniques, promoting in store initiatives, as well as global initiatives and offers.
  • Trains and coaches Team Members, explains performance and behavioral expectations and provides in the moment feedback and recognition. Administers spot talks as needed. Reports behavior requiring discipline and documentation to the management team.
  • Supervises and supports all facets of the location's daily operation. Maintains the daily break schedule and adjusts as needed. Assists with and oversees stock functions, including maintaining the sales floor and checking in vendors.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

  • High School degree or GED Required.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 2+ years’ experience in cash handling, retail sales, or food service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Communicate clearly with Team Members, customer service oriented, flexibility, strong organization skills, and operational experience.
  • Solid Communication skills – both written and oral; able to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence and speak effectively before groups: customers and Team Members
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.   Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
