OPPORTUNITY
The Rooney International Visiting Scholar Program offers international scholars the opportunity to spend a semester in residence at Robert Morris University pursuing research, and/ or teaching while interacting with faculty, staff, and students. The Rooney Scholars live on campus in the Rooney House and become part of the campus community. Travel expenses will be provided and well as an automobile for the Scholar’s use (valid driver’s license required). A salary is provided. RMU is currently accepting applications for the Academic Year 2025-2026, fall 2025 (approximately late August 2025-mid December 2025) and spring 2026 (approximately mid January 2026-late April 2026). Priority consideration will be given to applications received by May 31 for fall 2025 residence. |

Peer tutors work with students both one-on-one and in small groups in the Tutoring Center in the Center for Student Success, providing assistance in understanding course materials and homework assignments, as well as, when appropriate, study skills and time-management skills. Peer Tutors will be open to in-person, virtual, and drop-in appointments with tutees during their shifts. |

The Robert Morris University Women's Soccer Team is looking for outgoing and qualified candidates who would like the opportunity to be actively involved with RMU Athletics and its women's soccer program as their student manager. He/she will work with the coaching staff and will assist in daily operations of the team. The purpose of this internship is to develop an understanding of how the intercollegiate athletic programs operate. This position gives the student a chance to learn team operations from the ground up, learning all facets and gaining insight of how to successfully operate a program. Students will work daily with coaches, athletes and administrative staff and will develop working relations and learn how to interact on a professional basis within the parameters of the department. This is an ideal position for the student, of any major, who have a desire to work in intercollegiate athletics upon graduation. Students will be able to apply knowledge learned in the classroom, to everyday aspects of the position. Students will be instructed on the sports best practices and will be instructed on how who do the laundry, including a specific instructions regarding sorting, pre-treating stains, proper laundry loads, laundry loops, proper drying process and more. This position may qualify for SET Transcript credits if it meets applicable criteria. |

The University is a proud member of the ACHA with successful hockey programs at the Men’s D1 and D3 levels.
The team practices 2-3 times per week and plays games most weekends during the season.
There are 3-5 travel weekends during the season which include Fridays. Preference is for the coach to attend all practices and games. |
