The Department of Business Administration in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a full-time continuing track instructor position to teach courses in sales and marketing and to oversee outreach and administration for the Personal Selling and Sales Management minor. The beginning date for the position is August 16, 2026.
Required Qualifications:
- A Master's degree (MBA or MS in Marketing or equivalent) must be possessed prior to the start date.
- Experience in teaching sales and sales management.
- Experience in managing educational programs in an academic or industry setting.
- A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in the field of sales and marketing.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping future graduates by envisioning new programs, embracing a growth mindset, and demonstrating a deep understanding of sales, sales programs, and sales curriculum. The candidate will also serve as the Faculty Director for the Minor in Professional Selling and Sales Management and play a crucial role in continuing to build the program while delivering value to the students and industry partners.
Teaching load is typically a maximum of eight courses per year with potential reductions for serving as the Faculty Director of the Minor in Professional Selling and Sales Management. This is a permanent position, renewable with increasing contract renewal lengths (starting at two years and moving up to five-year renewals).
