Under general supervision of the Business Administrator II, the Academic Support Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology (ENWE). This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the department’s academic programs, including graduate and undergraduate student support, course scheduling, teaching collections organization and oversight, training workshop coordination, overseeing the ENWE Graduate Student Organization, and academic records management.

Under the general direction, the Academic Advisor II is responsible for providing academic advisement services to students in the School of Nursing (SON). The advisor works cooperatively with the Department Chair to set goals and propose solutions to advising issues that affect the quality of services to students in the SON. Knowledge of curriculum options, degree requirements, academic policies and procedures for advisement of students in the majors housed in the SON is necessary. The position will assist with course registration, senior checkout, student programming, related undergraduate student activities and orientation session as necessary. The selected candidate will be expected to have substantial successful teaching experience; they will teach 6-7 courses per year alongside some undergraduate advising, with the remaining 12.5%-25% of their workload dedicated to service. The department is research active, and professional development of CT faculty is strongly supported.
