Role Description:
The UD Career Center (UDCC) is seeking a responsible, motivated undergraduate student to support the Career Events & Experiences (CEE) subteam under the Career Connections & Experiences (CCE) team. The student assistant performs a variety of tasks involving project and administrative support, as well as evening employer event coverage. An average of 8-10 work hours will be required during the Fall and Spring semesters. Work-Study approved students preferred.

NOTE: This role will be in-person for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, and training will occur during the 2025 Spring semester.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work a fixed 8-10 hour/week schedule (Monday-Friday, between 8:30am-5:00pm); flexible around class schedule each semester. Some evening hours are required.
- Provide task support to CCE staff members as requested.
- Provide project support to CCE staff members as requested.
- Event administrative responsibilities include: survey data entry, printing of career event materials (table tents, signage, etc.), assembling career event supplies (e.g. lanyards).
- Update UD localist calendar with UDCC career events.
- Handshake administrative support and data entry (e.g. event approval, contact entry)
- Provide occasional front desk coverage and greet visitors.
- Provide accurate information and referrals regarding UDCC programs, services and resources.
- Support the Career Center with misc. special projects and career programs as needed, including administrative support.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Arrive promptly to scheduled shifts
- Ability to handle confidential materials is required
- Conduct self professionally at all times
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications
- Familiarity with Handshake platform
- Familiarity with or interest in learning about the services offered by the UDCC
- Interest in helping UD students
- Occasionally greet employers at on-campus events by checking in students and helping with classroom A/V setup.
- Open to learning new technology/skills
