Role Description:
The department of University Student Centers is seeking, responsible, motivated undergraduate students to assist with outreach and promotion of the Leadership and Service office. Primary responsibilities include outreach and promotion for the Leadership & Service office and programs, assisting with office tasks, and projects to support the office as assigned by supervisor and staff.
Creative Leadership, Innovation and Service is seeking active, engaged students to join the Ambassador team to promote leadership and community service across the UD campus. These students will present information about programs and upcoming events in classes, at various tabling events and resource fairs (including admission events), in residence halls, and more. Students will learn key talking points and share those along with their own experiences in the program with the goal of increasing student involvement with leadership and community service. Students will additionally support the needs of the office through administrative tasks and other projects to provide opportunities for engagement with the office. This opportunity will allow students to get a deeper involvement in this unit and create connections with departments and students across the university. Students will gain public speaking skills, communication and outreach skills, marketing and promotion knowledge, and more. Students in this position may be required to participate in Leadership & Service programs, like the leadership certificates. This is a paid position; it will include hours during the day, evening, and weekends; and students must qualify for Federal Work Study.
