Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Location: Custodial Services, Newark Campus

Role Description:

Under limited supervision, assists Custodial Services with inventory control activities throughout campus facilities. Responsibilities include counting and moving chairs, checking equipment, and supporting inventory organization and verification efforts across multiple buildings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Count and organize chairs and other inventory items.
• Move chairs, equipment, and related materials between locations.
• Inspect and check equipment for inventory accuracy and condition.
• Assist with maintaining organized storage and inventory areas.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  

• Must be enrolled at the University of Delaware as a full-time or part-time student.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and staff.

Special Requirements:  

• Requires extensive walking throughout campus buildings.
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. 
• Work environment may include buildings without air conditioning and exposure to warm temperatures.
