Job Title:          Research/Grant Assistant (Full-Time, Temporary)

Department:     Neuromusculoskeletal Institute (NMI)

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Research Assistant will be an essential part of the NMI’s research team, collaborating with program coordinators, research staff, and clinical faculty/staff on various aspects of assigned projects pertaining, but not limited to developing comprehensive program reports, content development, data collection and analysis, and programmatic development. The Research Assistant will be a key player in the implementation of projects and will serve as a liaison between researchers, clinical faculty/staff, and grant program coordinators. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researching, writing, analyzing, and developing content for healthcare providers across various subspecialties and professions, with a focus on bridging knowledge gaps and solving complex issues in naloxone co-prescribing, healthcare operations, and patient care.
  • Work with individual program and clinical faculty/staff on programmatic data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with program and clinical faculty/staff to develop and reinforce data integrity, security, and validation process to ensure that the data is accurate and consistent over its lifecycle. 
  • Serve as a liaison between researchers, clinical staff, and program coordinators, and as a key player in the implementation of internal and external programs.
  • Facilitates weekly NMI Grant meetings and participates in other meetings as required.
  • Provides updates/reports as requested to Director and individual Principal Investigators.
  • Collaborate with program and research staff to write research protocols, reports, and materials for publication.
  • Understands and assists with IRB applications and revisions as needed.
  • Understands and adheres to Rowan-Virtua SOM compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan University regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or a related discipline, plus one (1) year of related experience in a government agency or university setting preferred. Experience with grants and coordination of grants required. Applicants lacking the degree may substitute appropriate related experience on a year-for-year basis.

This is a Full-Time, Temporary Grant Funded position.
