ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

In collaboration with Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians or Family Medicine Physicians, provides care to patients seeking pain management and outpatient addiction treatment.

Maintains a schedule accommodatingo patient appointments 9-10 sessions per week.

Maintains a patient volume of minimally 3-4 patients per hour as needed to meet patient demands of the practice.

Prescribes medications and maintains their CDS/DEA license following State of New Jersey laws for Advanced Practice Nurses.

Documents all services in patient electronic medical record according to Rowan-Virtua standards and policies.

Codes services provided following current CPT and ICD-10 guidelines.

Attends scheduled department faculty meetings and other meetings as required such as Pain Rounds and SUD Huddles.

Triages patient telephone calls and covers physician patient calls when asked. Takes call per schedule.

Completes all compliance-related trainings required by the University.

Functions as an integral member of the healthcare team and collaborates with colleagues in nursing and other disciplines to achieve long and short term goals.

Functions in a collegial relationship with the medical staff and works closely with the collaborating physicians. Communicates and interprets nursing care to support staff.

Participates in research activities as necessary. Interfaces as necessary with the research principal investigator or members of the research team in fulfilling grant reporting requirements.

Understands and adheres to Rowan's compliance standards as they appear in Rowan's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Certified as either Clinical Nurse Specialist or a Nurse Practitioner in the State of New Jersey. At least two (2) years of related nursing experience in pain management and/or addiction medicine, preferably as an advanced practice nurse required. New Jersey prescriptive privileges required. Must maintain a current New Jersey CDS/DEA number.

SALARY: In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $118,000-$125,000 with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors."
