Partner Engagement and Activation Manager, Workforce Learning Solutions

Department: Online Division, Rowan University 
Reports To: Senior Sales Professional for Partnerships in Corporate Learning
Location: Rowan University (with up to 50% travel) 

 

Position Summary 

Rowan University’s Online Division is advancing a strategic direct-to-employer education initiative to meet the workforce development needs of key partner organizations. Central to this initiative is the Rowan Online program offering, which allows accessible, flexible online education designed to support the career advancement of working professionals. 

The Partner Engagement and Activation Manager is a key individual contributor who designs and executes impactful engagement strategies and events that foster strong institutional relationships and drive student enrollment. This role is responsible for executing partner-facing initiatives that support lead generation, application growth, and new student enrollment. It requires exceptional planning, outreach, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and cross-functionally. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Partner Engagement and Activation 

  • Develop and manage strategic engagement plans that align with institutional goals and support enrollment growth through corporate and workforce partnerships. 

  • Serve as the relationship manager for employer partners and any needs related to engagement (i.e. event logistics, activation campaigns, and communications.) 

  • Ensure all formal partnership ceremonies and other institutional engagement milestones are executed with a high standard of excellence and conform to WLS brand standards, generating excitement and energy. 

 

Event Planning and Execution 

  • Execute a high volume of on-site and virtual engagement events such as webinars, information sessions, recruitment presentations, and signing events. 

  • Oversee full event lifecycle including scheduling, venue logistics, promotional coordination, and post-event follow-up. 

  • Represent Rowan University at events, providing program details, answering questions, and encouraging applications from prospective students. 

 

Cross-Functional Coordination 

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales Operations, Marketing, Academic Affairs, and Enrollment Services to ensure strategic alignment and consistent messaging. 

  • Ensure marketing materials and outreach tools support event promotion and partner engagement. 

 

Campaign Development and Promotion 

  • Design of outreach campaigns tailored to partner needs, incorporating promotional materials, email communications, and event invitations. 

  • Demonstrate increasing campaign effectiveness using reports, CRM, and other  communications platforms. 

 

Account Development & Growth Strategy 

  • Proactively cultivate relationships with new and emerging stakeholders within existing partner organizations to deepen engagement and program alignment. 

  • Track all account development activities and contacts within CRM platform. 

  • Identify opportunities to introduce new academic programs or offerings that meet the evolving needs of each partner’s workforce, with a focus on nursing and allied health professionals. 

  • Use consultative engagement techniques to understand organizational goals, talent development strategies, and challenges in workforce education. 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to match identified partner needs with Rowan’s expanding program portfolio. 

  • Develop tailored strategies to increase brand awareness and expand Rowan’s footprint within partner institutions—including new departments, facilities, and geographic regions. 

  • Recommend scalable solutions to broaden participation across a partner’s workforce, including co-branded campaigns, targeted info sessions, and leadership briefings. 

 

Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement 

  • Monitor and report on event metrics, campaign performance, partner engagement, and lead conversions. 

  • Effectively present any milestones, successes, or engagement data to Rowan Leadership as requested. 

  • Analyze event data and participant feedback to improve future events and outreach effectiveness. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation in CRM systems for reporting and follow-up. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field required. Advanced degrees (MBA, M.Ed., or similar) preferred. 

  • 5–10 years of experience in sales, student recruitment, partner engagement, event planning, or outreach in a higher education or healthcare context. 

  • Experience and an ability to deliver on-site and virtual presentations to groups of varying size and levels of leadership that lead to engagement and results. 

  •  Demonstrated ability to generate strong enrollment outcomes through external partnerships and engagement activities. 

  • Experience working with healthcare organizations, especially within nursing or hospital systems, is strongly preferred. 

  • Proficiency in CRM and communication tracking tools. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. 

  • High degree of autonomy and comfort managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. 

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for partner-facing engagements. 

 

Salary

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $76,500 to $89,250. When extending any salary offer, Rowan University considers many factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education, training, key skills, internal equity, as well as market and other organizational considerations.
