Under the direction of the Director for the Wellness Center, and the supervision of the Assistant Director for Health Innovation, the next Events Coordinator manages the day-to-day digital communications for Rowan wellness initiatives and programs as well as maintaining and building all digital content for all Wellness Center departmental websites. This position is also responsible for creating marketing strategies, as well as creating, planning and presenting small and large-scale events and programs to support Rowan University and Wellness Center initiatives.

Functional Areas of Responsibility:

Student Outreach:

  • Strategize, plan, develop, and execute successful communications and marketing using social media platforms, email correspondence, and in-person communications.

  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Wellness Center to create a yearly calendar of events, creating an effective communications workflow.

  •  Strategize, design, and establish a social media presence for the Wellness Center,

  •  Oversee quality testing for all social media and Wellness Center campaigns and events.

  •  Collaborate with the AVP of Health, Wellness, and Safety within the Student Government Association (SGA), ensuring students have an effective understanding of the offerings of the Wellness Center.

  •  Manage monthly communications meetings with representatives from all departments of the Wellness Center.

 Digital:

  • Manage all back end building and design, as well as daily maintenance of the Wellness Center Website.

  • Collaboration with IRT and other campus partners to ensure effective and timely marketing strategies are fulfilled.

  • Ensure critical health-related information and content is distributed effectively, and timely. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • One year of professional experience required.
  • Strong written and oral communication.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with campus-wide partners and outside agencies when required.

  • Significant experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Cascade, Google, Microsoft Office, and other digital graphic tools.

  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms and strategies.

  • Experience with Google analytics.

  • Experience working with social media scheduling platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital design or communications experience at a medical school, or health promotion position.

Salary & Benefits:

  • In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT: Range 18 (Step 1: $55,142 to Step 4: $63,410), with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.

For eligible employees, benefits include: comprehensive NJ State health, dental and retirement benefits, extensive accrued time off/paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement for employee, spouse, and dependents to attend Rowan University, Glassboro.
