The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) that is able to admit patients, make rounds, write orders for medication, diagnostic studies, devices, and consultations on inpatient psychiatric unit or provide services to patients scheduled at contracted agencies. The candidate will work collaboratively with staff nurses, social workers and other staff physicians and agency staff. Location and time of assignments to be mutually agreed upon. This is a non-tenure position.
This role will require the APN to provide clinical coverage at office and in-community sites, with a focus on the IDD population, located in Lumberton, Sicklerville and Lawrenceville. Services to include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, restraints and staff consultations as required. Provides appropriate documentation of care including chart notes and competition of required/requested forms.
Provides additional coverage call for the Department’s hospital contract. Coverage will be on‑site face-to-face.
Must ensure the possession of a functioning phone at all times while on-call.
Must respond to any and all calls by telephone response within 15 minutes.
Must be available and respond to any and all or direct service to patients within one hour of being called for restraint, sentinel event, near-miss or any other clinical situation that requires face-to-face clinical care by an independent clinical practitioner.
Keeps abreast of agency, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Submits appropriate billing information.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience: One (1) year of experience as a practicing APN
Licensure: Unrestricted Licensed as an APN with the State of New Jersey with a current CDS and DEA.
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, AAUP Faculty Salary rage information is below:
Total salary range: $95,917 to $130,192
The annual salary range is composed of two components: 1. Base salary within a range determined by the AAUP collective bargaining agreement and 2. Supplemental salary based on regional benchmarking standards and internal equity by specialty.
*Placement within the range is determined by the candidate's qualifications, professional experience, and other factors.
