Work Environment

This position is based at Rowan Online’s dynamic and interactive team hub, located in downtown Glassboro, NJ. Our staff thrive in our contemporary collaborative workspace, intentionally designed to facilitate meaningful connections and innovative thinking. In addition to the synergistic work environment, this role is eligible to participate in Rowan's Flexible Work Arrangement (hybrid work) policy. To ensure exceptional support for our online learners, in-office and remote days follow a consistent pattern, with regular adjustments for strategic meetings and special events. This student-centered role occasionally requires evening and weekend hours, along with occasional local travel to provide diverse engagement opportunities with Rowan Online’s learning community.

The Online Faculty Success and Communications Coordinator strengthens our instructional ecosystem by ensuring faculty are fully supported from recruitment through course delivery. This role manages operations of onboarding, communication, training, and engagement initiatives, ensuring faculty are informed, connected, and prepared. Working closely with academic leadership and operational partners, this position helps ensure alignment, consistency, and a seamless faculty experience. What will you be doing?

  • Coordinate asynchronous and synchronous onboarding and training programs for online faculty in collaboration with academic partners, ensuring alignment with program expectations and instructional needs.

  • Manage and maintain the online faculty training system, ensuring content is current, accessible, and aligned with academic and operational priorities; regularly update materials in partnership with academic stakeholders and internal teams.

  • Follow up with faculty, and ensure all onboarding requirements are met prior to course launch, partnering with academic teams to address gaps or readiness concerns.

  • Serve as a primary operational point of contact for faculty and academic partners, providing timely guidance on policies, deadlines, tools, and expectations.

  • Develop and maintain proactive communication plans (newsletters, reminders, portal updates) to ensure faculty and academic stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and relevant information.

  • Coordinate recognition initiatives, peer engagement opportunities, and faculty community-building events that support faculty success and strengthen connections within and across academic programs.

  • Partner closely with academic leadership and internal teams, including Faculty Success Team, to support faculty throughout the lifecycle from hiring and onboarding through course assignment and ongoing engagement.

  • Support academic partners in addressing faculty needs, escalating concerns as appropriate, and contributing to a positive and effective teaching experience.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring adherence to Rowan policies and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in team meetings, workflow reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance collaboration with academic partners and strengthen the overall faculty experience.

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • At least two (2) years of experience in administrative support, HR, faculty/faculty support, operations, customer service, analytics, or related fields.

  • Experience using or supporting learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple inquiries simultaneously.

  • Commitment to supporting high-quality instruction, equitable practices, and positive student outcomes.

  • Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT 21 (Step 1 $63,833.52 - Step 4 $73,416), with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.

For internal applicants, salary is determined per the Pay Adjustment formula (NJAC 4A:3-4.9 & 4.10)
