About the Management Department

The Management Department includes faculty whose scholarship spans organizational behavior, strategy, organization theory, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and business law. Recent publications in leading journals reflect faculty interests in entrepreneurship, organization theory, strategic operations, effective teams, negotiations, cross-cultural management, and ethical leadership.

Our faculty teach in areas including global micro and macro-organizations, negotiations, cross-cultural management, entrepreneurial leadership, strategy, and ethics. We seek a colleague whose research and teaching will complement and extend these strengths. Our professors are internationally recognized scholars whose work increases the impact of the Knauss School of Business and the University of San Diego.

Detailed Description:

The Department of Management in the AACSB-accredited Knauss School of Business at the University of San Diego invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning in Fall 2027. We seek candidates with a promising research trajectory who can teach undergraduate and graduate courses in organizations, global strategy, and entrepreneurship, and contribute to the research, teaching, and service needs of the department and school.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a PhD, or be ABD near completion, in Management with a specialization in Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, Strategic Management, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited program by the start of the appointment. Candidates are expected to maintain a record of scholarly achievement in high-quality peer-reviewed outlets in their field and demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and service in a private university environment.

$12,083 - $12,916/Monthly - Excellent Benefits

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position.  Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
