Basic Responsibilities
    • Provide administrative support for the Vice President for Student Life.
    • Manage Student Life office.
    • Manage special projects as determined by the Vice President for Student Life.
    • Provide Pcard and Travel Card support for the department
Essential Duties
    • Provide administrative support for the Vice President for Student Life.
      • Provide daily support to the Student Life vision and objectives.
      • Maintain the calendar and schedules of the Vice President for Student Life and assist in preparation for meetings.
      • Assist in the Facilitation and process for hiring new staff members.
      • Assist in the development and communication of Student Life policies and procedures.
      • Assist the Vice President for Student Life in addressing personnel or interdepartmental issues.
      • Coordinate the completion of job descriptions and performance appraisals.
      • Provide support for the planning, budgeting, and assessment processes of Student Life.
      • Represent Student Life on selected university committees.
      • Each semester, facilitate the Student Life Honor Award nomination and selection process.
    • Manage Student Life office.
      • Supervise day-to-day operations of the Student Life office.
      • Periodically evaluate functions of the office for efficient, effective service.
      • Maintain supplies for the office as well as maintain the copiers for the department.
      • Supervise coordination of special events to include arrangements for facilities, guest lists, transportation, catering and budgeting.
      • Plan and coordinate Student Life Directors meetings, retreats, and Student Life Division meetings as directed by the Vice President for Student Life.
    • Manage special projects as determined by the Vice President for Student Life.
      • Coordinate the annual review and publication of the Student Handbook and Planner.
      • Assist with the management of medical withdrawals from the university, and maintaining records
      • Manage other projects as assigned by the Vice President for Student Life.

Qualifications

A. Professional

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years professional experience
