Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated learner who is a champion of the undergraduate student experience. They believe that college is formative and see themselves as playing a role in students’ success while at ACU. The ability to pivot and manage multiple priorities and types of tasks is essential to their success. This person would be a motivated self-starter, someone who takes initiative while playing close attention to detail. Collaboration is key with this position, with teamwork, transparency, and tenacity all being sought after qualities in our ideal candidate. 
 
 
Professional
  • Must be a graduate student enrolled full-time at the Abilene campus. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides
  • Willing to learn Suitable, Qualtrics, Canva, and WordPress
  • Basic knowledge of student development theory is preferred
 
Personal
  • Well organized
  • Efficient at completing assignments
  • Motivated to support the university and Center’s mission
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
 
 
Physical Requirements:
  • May need to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • May need to occasionally lift packages of 35 lbs. or more.

 

Position Description/ Job Duties
Basic Responsibilities
 
  • Manage current activities – including requests and student approvals – under the guidance of the Student Experience Specialist
  • Co-create achievements with faculty and staff under the guidance of the Student Experience Specialist
  • Pull and report on activity and achievement data in Suitable to key stakeholders
  • Support annual roadmap updates in partnerships with academic programs and advising
  • Provide personnel support for experiential learning programs and events
 
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. 
 
  • Co-create achievements with faculty and staff under the guidance of the Student Experience Specialist
  • Shadow achievement and activity conversations with staff and faculty
  • Determine appropriate activity types, achievement structures, and timing needs
  • Upload achievement data into Suitable
  • Provide data and updates to partners as needed throughout the year
 
  • Pull and report on activity and achievement data in Suitable to key stakeholders
  • Create and manage a process to provide event QR codes to partners as requested
  • Pull activity data for student success purposes including retention and attendance
  • Maintain achievement data for badges managed by ACCEL
  • Help users celebrate achievements through giveaways, social media recognition, and other forms of appreciation
  • Share relevant data and anecdotes with key stakeholders 
 
  • Support annual roadmap updates in partnership with academic programs and advising
  • Monitor and refresh roadmap stands in the Campus Center and ACCEL office  
  • Interface with department members responsible for content on updates and marketing efforts
  • Determine updates in collaboration with the Experiential Learning team 
  • Update snapshot and long-form content in Canva
  • Upload roadmaps to the ACCEL website
Preferred Availability Preferred start date of August 1st. Days of the week and hours are negotiable.
