Basic Responsibilities
  1. Create high-quality, targeted, and coordinated marketing messaging across multiple platforms; ensure that the brand message is consistent.

  2. Write content that resonates with the target audience and is representative of trending topics for the higher education market. 

  3. Contribute to the development of integrated marketing and communications plans to advance goals; work may include data collection, market research, target market definition, and development of project timelines.

  4. Manage surveys from creation to analysis, turning results into clear, actionable reports to guide content strategy.

This position is located in Dallas, Texas with the option of hybrid remote. 

Essential Duties
  1. Create engaging content for marketing purposes including but not limited to; blog posts, website, landing pages, email marketing, conversation scripts, videos, and marketing collateral.

  2. Ideate and execute projects related to content marketing and SEO, including generating recommendations/plans.

  3. Support the university's digital marketing presence and thought leadership strategies.

  4. Recommend content to drive online traffic to the university website.

  5. Analyze and identify consumer behaviors and buyer personas to develop content for specific audiences.

  6. Work with the AVP of Marketing and the website management team on digital content strategy initiatives to improve the ACU.edu user experience.

  7. Perform regular research on marketing trends, emerging technologies, and target audiences.

  8. Manage survey program for students insights

  9. Conduct market research to identify audience needs, industry trends and content opportunities that support strategic planning and campaign development

Professional Development Requirements

Skills

  1. Understanding of digital marketing strategy and practice particularly in the areas of content marketing, SEO, email marketing, social media, and video.

  2. Strong understanding of content development, excellent writing skills including command of sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation.

  3. Creative ability to strategize, author, and curate relevant, meaningful, and engaging content.

  4. Working knowledge of email marketing and customer journeys. 

  5. Ability to deploy and track marketing tactics to drive conversions and audience engagement.

  6. Ability to interpret and use data to inform marketing decisions. 

  7. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple activities and tasks.

  8. Excellent attention to detail.

  9. Ability to research and resolve complex problems.

 

Training Modules Required

  1. Ongoing CPE.

  2. Regular reading in higher education and marketing publications.

  3. Regular training on digital marketing best practices and regulations

Qualifications

Professional

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or relevant field of study required.

  2. Minimum of three years experience in marketing with an emphasis on copywriting and content creation.

  3. Google Analytics and SEO certifications preferred.

  4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and timelines efficiently.

  5. Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.

  6. Computer literate and able to learn proprietary software applications.

  7. Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and requirements with a positive can-do attitude.

Personal

  1. Collaborative nature.

  2. Above-average communication skills, both verbal and written. This includes excellent spelling, grammar, and editing skills.

  3. Utilize critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.

  4. Desire for meaningful work and mission orientation.

Physical Demands
  1. Work is performed in an office environment; must have the ability to sit for long periods of time – 4-6 hours.

  2. Limited travel may be required – locations vary and some overnight travel may be necessary.
