Job Title: Global Partners Program Student Coordinator

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and guidance to Global Partner leaders and new international students involved in the program
  • Assist International Student Services professional staff in the Global Partner leader application process including reviewing and selecting candidates
  • Lead in the planning, coordination, and delivery of Global Partners Program initiatives, such as pre-arrival virtual workshops in the summer, international student move-in and welcome events, International Student Orientation and programming throughout the 2023-2024 academic year
  • Assist the ISS professional staff in making mentorship group matches of new students and Global Partner leaders
  • Develop new initiatives that will enhance the arrival and adjustment experience for new international students 
  • Coordinate the creation of written, video, and social media content that will be shared with new international students
Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Creativity and willingness to bring new ideas to enhance the Global Partners program and international student experience
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have previously served as a Global Partner leader
Hours of Position:
  • A total of 19 hours between April –August 2024. Position will start in April for approximately 3 total hours when student will help prepare marketing materials and review applications of Global Partner leaders. May-early August will involve about 5 total hours coordinating mentor matches, delegating tasks to leaders, and planning Orientation. The bulk of the remaining hours (11) will be used for new international student move-in and orientation in August.
  • This position is a flexible and primarily remote position. The coordinator will work approximately 2-4 hours per week from June through August and about 10-20 hours during the first week of orientation and arrival.
  • The coordinator will receive a stipend of $500.
