Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Graduate Assistant for SGA Finance and SGA Finance Assistant to manage the day-to-day budget and finance processes for transactions approved by SGA.
  • Assist with creating the OrgFinance training for student organizations.
  • Regularly email students and student organizations related to purchase or reimbursement requests
  • Assist with ensuring Campus Life and SGA finance policies are followed by students and student organizations by reviewing requests and approving, clarifying or denying on a case-by-case basis
  • Promptly communicate any potential issues or concerns with Campus Life staff
  • Work with the SGA Vice President of Operations by ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Assist with updating student organization budgets in Do You QU and a departmental tracking spreadsheet
  • Become familiar with Do You QU, specifically related to finance funding and purchase requests.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to exhibit a positive, caring, and helpful attitude towards all students and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Prior experience with or an interest in finance, business, and/or accounting is preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when required
Hours of Position:
  • TBD – Will be determined based on availability and class schedule.
